A joyful spirit who loved adventure and the outdoors.
Flamingo & Friends was born from love, memory, and the bright spirit of my son, Otis. He tragically passed away in a paddleboarding accident in 2024 at the age of 25, but his joy, kindness, and light continue to ripple outward—just like he always did in life. He was one of those rare people who was genuinely happy, and even more special, he made everyone around him feel happy too.
Otis loved the outdoors in every form. He was an avid disc golfer, a mountain biker, a camper, slackliner, and a fan of just about any water sport you could name. He also loved wearing fun clothes—especially bold, silly prints that made people smile. One of my favorites was a teal shirt-and-shorts set covered in bright pink flamingos. He absolutely loved that outfit, and people loved seeing him in it. That flamingo joy became a symbol of who he was: colorful, carefree, and impossible to forget.
After Otis passed, I began creating memorial shirts in his honor for family and friends, then shirts for his disc golf community—each one made with the same intention Otis lived by: to bring a little happiness into the world. Over time, those designs grew into something bigger, and Flamingo & Friends took flight. Every piece we make carries a bit of Otis’s spirit—fun, a little quirky, and always meant to make someone smile. 🦩💗
